Unvented Hot Water Systems
This is a system often specified by home makers who want a versatile output but need to save as much space as possible. An unvented hot water cylinder means there is no need for a cold water storage tank whilst still keeping all the benefits of a conventional system and more.All you need is to site your gas central heating boiler in your property, position the unvented hot water cylinder (normally in the airing cupboard) and connect the two together and add your controls and an expansion vessel. This means there are no tanks in the loft area, loft space is saved. An airing cupboard contains the hot water cylinder.
Vented cylinders are connected by a pipe to the cold water tank, usually in the loft, and often need a pump to boost the flow rate around the property. The pump uses electricity, and may prove an expensive alternative to an unvented cylinder.

Copper Cylinders
A hot water cylinder stores hot water that can be set thermostatically to give a constant temperature, regardless of outside temperature. This means it can be blended to a comfortable, usable temperature which gives a greatly increased volume of hot water which is available for use throughout the home. The cylinders Blueflame supply are designed to heat up faster and retain heat for longer. That means householders can save money on fuel bills and still enjoy all the hot water they need, even for the biggest family 24 hours a day.
- They have double thickness of CFC free Urethane foam lagging as standard, this adds approximately 100mm to the cylinder diameter (single thickness cylinders are available in 50mm).
